I cheer for Team Brandon!! What a tremendous opportunity it was for my daughter, Aly, and I to hear the tearful and courageous story of Cari, Brandon and their complete family. I tell my daughter that one bad decision can affect the rest of her life, but the Fonseca family circumstances resonated, especially knowing she is about to become a new driver and the various dangers a car can present. Anymore it is not just drinking and driving we have to worry about; it is also the texting and other facets that can lead to being distracted at the wheel. A bad decision ends up affecting the entire family. Brandon made a poor choice, but his family has supported him and our community in the best possible way by telling their story and teaching others to stay safe.

"You spoke at SCA today during 4th and 5th period. My daughter Sarah came home and shared Brandon's story with us and how impactful it was to her and several of her friends. I was thrilled when Sarah came home and shared it with me over dinner. We rarely hear much about what goes on most days at school and so I try hard to ask the right questions to get some answers. Instead, she brought it up and talked at length about your son's story and how it impacted so many. Thank you for sharing your story in very real way with these kids.

Anyway, I sent the donation as an encouragement to y'all to keep doing what you are doing. And to keep on keepin' on b/c yes, if just one life is saved, then the effort is worth it!
